Its not like the DV series for build quality (its not bad at all though) but for 2 channel audio it finally beats my old DV139. The sound is more open, detailed and clean. I have just purchased a Technic SH-GE70 equaliser which I have connected to a Technics A900S Amp and a Technics SU800UM2 Pre Amp. Hi, Hoping someone might be able to help! I've got an Onkyo 806, however had to replace it a few months ago as it took ages to warm up. It's currently sat in a cupboard, so thought I would have a look to see what was actually wrong with it. I have purchased a Samsung Soundbar Q90R which has Dolby Atmos. My setup will be this new soundbar, Optoma projector 142x and Xbox one X. The issue I can see is if I use an optical cable then that wont carry Dolby Atmos. So I need to use HDMI cables it is saying connect the xbox One to the soundbar via HDMI ( that's fine) and then the soundbar to the projector using the ARC HDMI input the problem is the optoma does not have an ARC HDMI input. I have gone round and round on projectors and have just set up an old NEC NP100 in my garage and ran it through an old crappy Toshiba laptop through the vga cable and projected onto some ply that was painted white. Hi I'm looking to get a sound bar in the BF sales. It's for a secondary system so not after anything that's going to set the world on fire. Having read through many of the threads and reviews I see a number of comments by people expressing disappointment that some SBs only have one hdmi input. I post this as something of an FYI. When ever there are problems with an Amp, my initial recommendations are always the same - - Absolutely verify the speakers wiring. Make sure that in all cases, the Amp(RED+) goes to the Speaker(RED+). Make sure the connections are clean and tight. - Check all the Wiring and Connections to make sure they are making contact. - With no sound playing, rotate the Knobs and toggle the Switches.
