DIY Fixed Screen - Dark Room - Screen Material Help

Hi :)

im looking to build a 90 inch fixed screen.
Planning to make a timber frame then use MDF as a flat base on top of that for the screen material then cover the outer 2/3 inch surround with a velvet or felt tape to finish.

question I have is...
What colour screen should I go for with a completely dark room.
No ambient light at all.

plus...the choice of either covering with a fabric/material or painting.
Being MDF it will be nice and flat so looking at ‘specialist projector screen...

TV pixelating issue

Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me as this issue has be baffled. So my TV has pixel flashes they seem to be an equidistant and random colours (They are constantly there but flash different colours). This happens when connected to my Virgin box and other sources with no media input attached. Yet... When i attach my laptop to the TV, there is no issue whatsoever!
