DMX Light Control

Looking for some guidance on cabling. Having issues making a controller talk to a 4 x parcan LED bar. It kind of works using OB3 but not fully. The current fly in the ointment is we only have XLR mic cables rather than a proper DMX cable. Is that really likely to be an issue over a short distance with a single fixture?

Hi, I'm new here. I've just sold my Arcam FMJ P7 to a great guy who is on these forums. So I now have my Arcam FMJ AV9 pre-amp to sell. This has been a great processor for me, and I can honestly be thankful to it for revealing subtle elements on recordings that no other pre-amp has given me.
