Anyone tried Compatable epson lamps

-
Anyone used the compatable lamps for epson 7300 or I've seen the original lamp in compatable carriages, just want to know if anyone has tried them.
Not sure if it's a lamp problem so dont fancy wasting from £95 to over £100 to find out.
