Philips Firmware - Do I Update Or Not?

Just purchased the Philip 50PUS8204/12 and done initial set up and, so far, rather impressed with the picture Vs price equation. However, whilst reading around AV Forums about various current Philips 4K TV models there currently seems a lot of chat across the range regarding the negative affect the latest firmware update has introduced. My 50PUS8204/12 looks to have the original September 2019 Firmware installed but I have held off updating due to the chat going on, is this the best plan...

Hi, I'm new here. I've just sold my Arcam FMJ P7 to a great guy who is on these forums. So I now have my Arcam FMJ AV9 pre-amp to sell. This has been a great processor for me, and I can honestly be thankful to it for revealing subtle elements on recordings that no other pre-amp has given me.
