Measuring Bulb Brightness

Hello again - sorry for banging on about this, but I have another question about my new bulb. Purchased from JPUK as an original/genuine JVC replacement (and I am sure it is) - when I put it in the PJ I didn't notice any real difference. I have purchased a light meter (cheap) and run some tests today - probably not veery scientific and I was not too worried about having a shiny expensive light meter, just something that could show the differences in brightness between the bulbs.
