HDMI handshake issues between AVR and Projector

I have a marantz nr1506 connected to a Sanyo plvz2000 projector via a 8m hdmi cable. I am having intermittent issues with the picture dropping out for a few seconds . I have tried turning on the blu ray player and receiver first and this seemed to be working however it happened again tonight. Switching the PJ off and on again sorted it out but that was a pain as I had to wait for it to cool down first. It's driving me crazy.

Hi, I'm new here. I've just sold my Arcam FMJ P7 to a great guy who is on these forums. So I now have my Arcam FMJ AV9 pre-amp to sell. This has been a great processor for me, and I can honestly be thankful to it for revealing subtle elements on recordings that no other pre-amp has given me.
