Atmos is underwhelming - is it my speakers or setup?

I've just added Sony Dolby Atmos enabled add on speakers to my setup (link below). They were on sale and cheap and I suspect thats why i'm underwhelmed.

My setup is a onkyo tx nr676, LG oled55b7a and tivo/blu ray player. 5.1.2. No trouble setting up. My receiver shows i'm getting an atomos feed from disney plus on the TV app / netflix/etc. I've completed the receiver's automated speaker setup and selected dolby atmos speakers (as on top of front left / right) as that matches my...
