A8H and eARC issues

Howdy ya'll,
Bought the A8H here about a month ago. It's connected to a LG SN9YG soundbar. I have my 4K player connected to the soundbar and then of course the soundbard connected via eARC to the tv itself. When I turn the TV on the soundbar kicks on - no issue whatsoever. I can adjust volume, etc. without any issues using the sony remote alone. My issue is I can't figure out for the life of me why, when I turn on my 4k player and put in a disc to play, it won't switch over...

Hi, I'm new here. I've just sold my Arcam FMJ P7 to a great guy who is on these forums. So I now have my Arcam FMJ AV9 pre-amp to sell. This has been a great processor for me, and I can honestly be thankful to it for revealing subtle elements on recordings that no other pre-amp has given me.
