We’ve got a quick update for you today, and then I’ll be back tomorrow with a long special feature piece here at The Bits.

First though, we’ve got a couple of disc reviews as follows:

Tim has just posted his thoughts on John Carpenter’s Escape from L.A.: Collector’s Edition on Blu-ray from Scream Factory.

He’s also posted a review of Stephen Hopkins’ Judgment Night (1993) on Blu-ray from the Warner Archive Collection.

And Dennis has taken a look at Michael Curtiz’s Romance on the High Seas on Blu-ray, also from the Warner Archive Collection. [Read on here...]

In terms of announcement news, be sure to take a look at our Saturday post (if you haven’t already) which is an update on some breaking physical 4K Ultra HD catalog product that’s confirmed to be in the works for release later this year and into 2021. You’ll find that here.

Meanwhile, Lionsgate has set The Terror: Infamy – The Complete Second Season for release on Blu-ray and DVD on 8/18 (SRP $27.99 and $21.98).

Arrow Video and Arrow Academy here in the US have set Zombie for Sale, Black Rainbow, Inferno of Torture, Bloodstone, and Life Is a Long Quiet River all for Blu-ray release on 7/21.

Well Go USA will release Bora Kim’s House of Hummingbird on Blu-ray and Digital on 8/4.

Kino Lorber has just released the documentary Milton Glaser: To Inform & Delight on DVD and Digital—it’s now available.

VCI Entertainment is releasing the Abbott and Costello film Jack and the Beanstalk on Blu-ray and DVD on 10/13, restored from a new 4K scan of an archival print.

And finally, Michael Felsher has just revealed that the next two entries in the Vestron Video Collector’s Series will be David Cronenberg’s Shivers (1975) and Richard Greenberg’s Little Monsters (1989). You can read more here on Facebook.
