2.1 speakers $150-$200

i want to use my PC for gaming and movies. at a minimum i decided to get 2.1 speaker system. should i get a receiver as well or would that be a waste? what are some good 2.1 systems in the $150-200 range? I want to hook my PC up to a projector as well as my big monitor
