BT TV Humax Youview box Prevents Surround Sound Powering on

I have an LG LM620T LED Smart TV & an ONKYO SR309 AV Reciever which I use for surround sound.
Usually when I turn on the TV, it powers up my AV reciever and allows me to control the volume of my surround sound.
However, I have recently upgraded to a new BT TV box and when this is connected via HDMI, I can no longer control the volume of the surround sound and it no longer turns on or off with the TV remote. If I disconnect the BT TV box then it all works again.

Hi, I'm new here. I've just sold my Arcam FMJ P7 to a great guy who is on these forums. So I now have my Arcam FMJ AV9 pre-amp to sell.
