Samsung LED dark shade spot?

I've got a Samsung LED TV about 7-8 years old which I turned on today & noticed it has a dark shade spot at the top of the screen. I've unplugged everything & restarted it, tried HDMI in other slots, did a picture reset but it's still there, any ideas?

I need a little guidance and hope its something simple that I’ve missed but the short version.... I have a Naim NDX streamer that occasionally suffers from Tidal playlists stopping (there are numerous threads dotted around the internet discussing the possible causes).
