Lg nano 8 vs nano 9

Gentlemen, thanks for any of your help. I have the option of using miles on CC to acquire a LG nano 8. I love performance so planned on buying a nano 9. The 9 is about 2100. The Best Buy expert says big difference ....edge lit vs whole screen ( I think). And more which I’ve forgotten. From your knowledge is there THAT. Much diff for buying the 9 vs free on the 8??
