B&W 704s weak high freqs? Ccompared with KEF Model One

Hi,

I've recently bought a pair of B&W 704s from ~2004. While they sound fine in low and mid range department, high frequencies were surprisingly quiet! I am comparing them with my old pair of KEF Model One from 1995 floorstanders, and it seems that B&W have some serious problems with it's high end. Tried bi-wiring them, but that didn't solve the issue. I am running them with Harman/Kardon HK970, which is not the most exciting amplifier, I agree, however KEFs were playing fine with it.

Hi, I'm new here. I've just sold my Arcam FMJ P7 to a great guy who is on these forums. So I now have my Arcam FMJ AV9 pre-amp to sell.
