Using USB as a source for UHD blu-ray players?

Hi guys,

I am using PC as a source for my home theater surround system, however recently I ran into some issues with Dolby Atmos.
I would set my receiver and application up, everything would work fine for couple of days and then Dolby Atmos app would just stop working.
So I thought about buying a UHD Blu-Ray player that supports Dolby Atmos.
Since I do not have intention of buying movies (I am downloading them from the site), will the player be capable of playing those movies via USB?
Btw...
