SC stays Maharashtra Government's order on 10% reservation to EWS

The Supreme Court said that "At this stage, the State can act under the enabling provisions and introduce reservation but unless additional seats are created by Medical Council of India,  the existing seats cannot be subjected to the EWS reservation amendment.

Earlier on Monday, Supreme Court had asked the Maharashtra government to apprise it of the status of admissions for PG medical and dental courses under 10 per cent quota for students belonging to economically weaker sections (EWS) across all classes
