Confused need advice about suitable freesat recorder

go easy on me fellas this is like a foreign language to me .

I have just cancelled my Sky+ subscription and am happy with the freesat channels I am receiving through my original Sky+ equipment. I am particularly happy with the Sky EPG which is familar and easy to navigate.

What I would like to add is a pause and record facility but if possible retain the existing sky program guide

Would it be possible to put a PVR in series with the Sky+ box ? something like the Openbox V9S maybe ? or...
