Polls 2019: PM Modi holds rallies in Arunachal Pradesh & Assam

IN GOHPUR, ASSAM

On day three of his Lok Sabha election campaign, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in the North East on Saturday. He addressed his last rally for the day in Gohpur, Assam. Prime Minister hit out at the so called Mahagathbandhan that he termed as 'Mahamilawat'. He said that they have come together only out of self interest. He said that Assam remained neglected under the UPA regime even though the Prime Minister then was an MP from the state.

IN MORAN, DIBRUGARH, ASSAM

In his second rally of the day at Moran in Dibrugarh, Assam, Prime Minister said that the Modi government has worked concertedly towards protecting Axomiya identity as well as tackling the issue of illegal migrants. He lashed out at the Congress government for stunting the growth potential of India because of its self serving policies. He said that the party mocks not just chowkidars but also chai walahs. From tea gardens to tea sellers Congress has neglected the welfare of all.

IN AALO, ARUNACHAL PRADESH

Prime Minister addressed his first rally in Arunachal Pradesh's Aalo. The state will be simultaneously voting for Assembly polls on 11th April.

BJP candidate from Aalo East assembly constituency, Kento Jini is set to be elected unopposed after nomination papers of his lone rival from Congress was found to be invalid.

Prime Minister said that in the last five years he has visited Arunachal Pradesh more than 30 times unlike previous Prime Ministers who failed to visit in over 3 decades.

He said that it took seven decades for Arunachal Pradesh to find a place on the railway map.

PM Modi lashed out at the Congress on the corruption issue. He slammed the party for questioning the surgical strike.
