What 4k projector should replace our Sony VPL-HW55ES 1080p projector?

Hi all,

I’m thinking of replacing our Sony VPL-HW55ES 1080p projector of 4 years with a 4k projector / faux 4k projector. Budget will be about what we paid for the Sony then, which was approx £2,500, although I could push it to £3,500, so not in the realms of the super Sony 4k projectors. I know there aren’t many, if any ‘real’ 4k projectors, for that price but just wondered.

Is there anything available at the moment that will compete with the quality of the Sony picture, motion and...
