Looking for an upgrade to a Denon 2400

I bought a Denon 2400 over a year ago, but I'm wondering whether I could get something with a bit more oomph to power my Mordaunt Short speakers. Currently running a 5.1 setup (I have an XLS400 sub plus the 5 MSs from about 20 years ago) with 2 crappy Onkyo upfiring speakers, but I plan on getting rid of the Onkyos and installing some in-ceiling speakers instead.

My budget would be around £600, and I have no idea what's seen as decent nowadays.
