Adding a stereo amp to an AVR
I posted this in the AVR forum but thought perhaps I should have posted it here...
I was informed by my local dealer that he advises against doing this because the AVR will be using the stereo amp's amplification stage and the fronts will therefore not necessarily match the tone output through the other speakers that are powered by the AVR.
Is that correct?
I had assumed that HT bypass would enable the AVR to power the fronts and completely bypass the stereo amp. Is that not correct?...
