Fixing JVC UX-D427S?

Hello,

A couple of months ago I bought a brand new JVC UX-D427S valve-driven mini Hi Fi. Unfortunately, after couple of months use it has broken. A week or two ago I turned it on, the LEDs flickered, and then after it had finished its preheat phase it turned off with a loud pop. I'm guessing this means the power supply has failed.

I will probably simply return it to the supplier for a refund, but I rather like my new stereo and I'm wondering how fixable it is as an alternative to faffing...

Hi, I'm new here. I've just sold my Arcam FMJ P7 to a great guy who is on these forums. So I now have my Arcam FMJ AV9 pre-amp to sell. This has been a great processor for me, and I can honestly be thankful to it for revealing subtle elements on recordings that no other pre-amp has given me.
